Blustery breezes blew Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Turner Lake’s USSSA Spring Opener. The 14U Wizards live their motto:”Start strong finish strong”. They completed the tournament with a 4/5 record.
The pitchers (Mo-D, Demon, 8, and Nolley) pitched and the fielders fielded, but the plays of the day belonged to (cheer girl) Rah-Rah- Bri Weave. Her amazing left field through to home plate gave us a much needed third out and she provided not one, but two amazing acrobatic catches. Thank you Rah-Rah!!
Games require more than awesome defense for a “W”. The big sticks were swung by Mo-D, Demon and Kay-Kay. Helping at the plate with clutch bunts were Timber, 8, and Nitro.
Arctic Accolades for your first place finish in tournament number one!!
We are proud of you!!!

The Fall World Series was held in Conyers, GA, on November 21 – 22. The 14 U Wizards split their pool games (one win and one loss). They proceeded to do the same in bracket play, thus securing their return on day two.
Though the 14U Wizards made it to day two, the rain put a stop to all play.
We look forward to the break, but will miss the competition.
Wizards you fared well against your seemingly older opponents. Rest and recoup the spring awaits.

The weather conditions were unfavorable. The rain/mist fell on the 14U Wizards continuously, but the thunderous bats of the heavy hitting Wizards sent a charge into the air and the pitchers brought the heat.
The Wizards reigned supreme on Saturday, October 17, in Jefferson winning 9-5 and 2-0.
Unfortunately, a dark cloud befell the tournament and the team. The tournament was declared a friendly and the sticks of fire grew cold.
Better luck next time. click here for stats who'swho

Summer is over and fall ball has begun. The new 14U WIZARDS have blown off the cob webs, practiced hard, and prepared to play.
The 14U Wizards started off the season in style by not only winning their first 14U tournament, but by not losing a game all day. Errorless innings and excellent pitching made 5 wins (allowing only 5 runs all day) possible.
Returning team member, Morgan Dingler (#10) aka Mo-D and new team member Chelsie Nolley (#13) aka Knock'em-N-Nolley are a perfect fit. Each girl brings years of pitching experience, power bats, and key defense to the team. Both players did their part pitching by securing 1 win each.
Great showing girls, keep bringing home the hardware.

King of The Mountain 1st Place
This weekend (May 25 – May 26) in Peachtree City, GA, at the King of the Mountain (Sequel) tournament, the 12U Wizards strutted their stuff. Once again, they rose to the occasion and defeated their opponents to bring home the gold.

The teams’ bats spoke with seven hits by Diamond Callwood (1 in the park home run and 8 RBIs), six hits (7 RBIs) from Chandler Carey, followed by India Davis with five hits (6 RBIs).

The Wizards maintained a never say die attitude, coming from behind to win their third game of the day.

Defensively the team wowed the fans with Kaitlyn’s (Rabbit) inning ending bases loaded double play from centerfield to home plate and Bri “rah-rah” Weaver’s game ending left field corner pocket catch.
We are proud of you, we are proud of you!

Despite some loses, India “Speedy” Davis come through in big fashion. She served the opponents 4 hits (one of which was an in the park home run), crossed the plate 4 times, and drove in 4 runs.
Defensively our hats are off to Chandler “Tater” Carey, India “Speedy” Davis, and Lexi “Block” Griffin. They worked collectively to execute a 2 – 6 – 1 (respectively) out at the plate. Also showing her usual exceptional defense was centerfielder Kaitlan “Rabbit” Nedham reeling in multiple fly balls.
